Breakfast - Keto style!
**Note - all recipes listed below are for a 2:1 ketogenic diet ratio. Please check with your dietitian and make all necessary modifications before using any recipe.
Egg & Bacon Bowl
1. Melt butter, mix into egg, cream, and oil.
2. Scramble or microwave until soft. 3. Crumble bacon and mix into cooked eggs. 4. Serve in a bowl with strawberries as a side. TIP: Meal will have excess oil. Make sure to scoop up the last bites with a spoon!! If your child I\\ If your child is not a fan of the excess oil, substitute oil with macadamia nuts or have them drink the oil beforehand. |

1. Melt 8gm of butter and scramble with cream, eggs and oil.
2. Serve on a plate with bagel & PB and oranges. TIP: Meal will have excess oil. Make sure to scoop up the last bites with a spoon! If your child is not a fan of the excess oil, substitute oil with macadamia nuts or have them drink the oil beforehand. |
Pancakes1. Grind macadamia nuts in a blender until finely chopped.
2. Mix egg and oil into ground macadamia nuts. 3. Optional: Add 3 drops Vanilla Extract 4. Spray a nonstick skillet with oil-spray (or use a little oil from the recipe). 5. Drop batter into desired size circles into heated pan. Turn over with a spatula when browned. |
Egg & Cheese BiscuitPrepare biscuits using the following recipe then weigh out the amount indicated in the meal above. This recipe makes 36gm (2 biscuits).
-3gm Cream - 36% -2gm Baking Powder - Calumet (Kraft) -17gm KetoCuisine -10gm Almond Flour -9gm Butter - slightly softened -Pinch of salt In a mixing bowl combine the above ingredients. Use a mixer to blend ingredients into a crumbly dough. Roll dough into a ball with your hands then split into 2 equal balls then flatten both into a biscuit shape. Place on parchment paper on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 F for 6 minutes or until bottom of biscuits are light brown.
